BETHLEHEM, NY - Bethlehem police arrested a man after he threatened a residence with a knife and a gun.
Police received a call on Friday on 5:45 P.M. about a man with a knife and gun threatening the residence inside a Hackett Street home in Selkirk.
Upon police arrival, the suspect had fled the area on foot.
After an extensive search assisted by the NYS Police K9 and Aviation Units, the suspect was located inside the Bethlehem Community Church in Delmar.
Taylor Vatalaro, 20, of Coons Road in Coeymans Hollow, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree, Menacing in the second degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Vatalaro will be arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court.
