SCHOHARIE, N.Y. - Alysha Stephens and her friend Joel Bramer shot a 20 minute video request to ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition which they posted on Facebook.
The video showcases residents in the Village of Schoharie who were affected by the flooding brought on by Hurricane Irene.
Each person tells their own story of how they are trying to rebuild their lives after the waters receded. The request is unusual in that it does not come from one person, but rather, by the entire village.
NEWS10 ABC has reached out to the producers of the show to find out if Schoharie may make the cut.
It would not be the first time the producers chose the Capital Region. Back in 2007, Debbie Oatman's family of Colonie was profiled on the show. Unfortunately, Oatman was forced to sell the home, when she said her taxes nearly tripled and she could no longer afford to live in the home.
