Two arrested after stealing $30 in recyclables from Greene County

CATSKILL, N.Y. - Two Coxsackie residents have been arrested following an investigation into a break-in at the Greene County Transfer Station on Plank Road.

19-year-old Kaylynn Rogers and 22-year-old Justin Benzeno were arrested after breaking into the Greene County recycling center on November 21st and 22nd. While inside the building during these two days, Benzeno and Rogers stole several bags of recyclable bottles totaling approximately $30.

Benzeno had been recently placed at the transfer station to perform community service as a result of plea agreement on a separate criminal charge.

Benzeno was charged with Burglary 3rd degree, two counts of Petit Larceny and Criminal Trespass. He was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $1000 cash bail or $2000 bail bond.

Rogers was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree and Petit Larceny. She was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $1000 cash bail or $2000 bail bond.
