
SCHOHARIE, N.Y. - National Grid announced Wednesday they will be presenting five grants to businesses impacted by Tropical Storm Irene in Schoharie County.
National Grid is awarding five businesses in Schoharie and Middleburgh the grants as part of its $6 million Emergency Economic Development Program in an effort to continue supporting communities which were negatively affected by the storms.
National Grid says the grants are "designed to help businesses recover quickly and get back to operating speed."
They will be presented at 1:00 p.m. at HARVA Plastics in Schoharie.
