Alfred Zwack
ALBANY, N.Y. - According to Albany police, a suspect has turned himself in Monday in connection with the fatal hit and run accident that occurred early Saturday morning.
19-year-old Alfred Zwack, of 100 Southern Boulevard in Albany, has been arrested for the accident after turning himself in late Monday morning with his lawyer.
Zwack was allegedly driving a 1999 Honda Accord on Quail Street at 1:42 a.m. southbound when he went around another car traveling in the same direction and struck the victim, 29-year-old Etemowei-James Oki of Colonie.
Oki struck the metal windshield column with his head and then the pavement.
Zwack immediately fled the scene without stopping.
Zwack is charged with Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Auto Accident, Reckless Driving, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License. He will be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court.
Additional charges are expected.
