ZwickerAMSTERDAM, NY (NEWS10) - Amsterdam police arrested five
people after executing two search warrants, two arrest warrants and one bench
warrant.
Police have been investigating drug sales in Amsterdam over four
months.
During the service of warrants, a quantity of narcotics, a
handgun, and cash were seized.
Search warrants were
executed on Alexander Blazquez of Gorski
Street and Rafael Alicea of Milton Avenue. Blazquez was charged with
criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled
substance 3rd and 4th, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Arrest warrants were executed on Christopher Martinez of
4251 Street Highway 30 and Ashley Zwicker of Elizabeth Street. Martinez was charged with criminal sale of a
controlled substance. Zwicker was charged with criminal sale of a controlled
substance.
A bench warrant was also executed. Christopher Matos of Forbes Street was arrested
on an active bench warrant for failure to appear.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are
possible.
