Columbus Day Parade canceled in Albany this year

ALBANY, NY (WTEN) - Columbus Day weekend will be one festival short this year in Albany.

Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings says a money crunch and dwindling interest are keeping the city from hosting its Annual Columbus Day Parade.

Instead of the festive march, people can attend a free Columbus Festival in Colonie's Cook Park on Saturday and Sunday.
