Lynda BrowneAMSTERDAM, N.Y. - An Amsterdam mother and daughter were arrested on Wednesday after stealing money from an elderly woman who lived at the facility they were employed at.
36-year-old Debbie Black and 63-year-old Lynda Browne, were both arrested after an investigation showed that they altered checks of an 81-year-old woman who lived at an adult care facility both Black and Browne were employed at.
Both women had access to the resident's account, and would write checks out to cash from the victim's account in excess of $15,000.
Black was arrested earlier this year for the same incident at another facility.
They are both being charged with Forgery 2nd-degree, a felony.
