ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany police say an investigation revealed a man found dead at the base of an Albany hospital's parking garage had jumped and committed suicide.
Police and fire crews responded to an emergency call from a hospital worker around 9:30 a.m. Monday saying they found 55-year-old Christopher Ringwald, of Albany, laying near one of St. Peter's Hospital's two parking garages.
Police say Ringwald was unresponsive in the roadway leading into the three-story parking garage.
He sustained massive trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
