FULTONVILLE, N.Y. - An Amsterdam man was found dead after his pick-up truck was dragged into the raging flood waters of the Schoharie Creek.
The victim was identified as 72-year-old Stephen Terleckey, of Godey Road in Amsterdam.
Around 9:00 a.m. Monday, his maroon Ford 150 pick-up truck was observed on Route 5S in the town of Glen driving into the washed out section of the road. The truck became disabled, and was tipped on its side being pulled away in the Schoharie Creek.
State Police in Fonda found the truck about 100 yards away and pulled it out of the creek, finding Terleckey deceased inside the truck.
