Mike joined the NEWS CENTER Weather Team in July 2011.
Growing up in South Jersey, Mike witnessed all kinds of weather phenomena, from the unbelievable flooding of Tropical Storm Floyd to the absurd amount of snowfall during the Blizzard of 1996. With the passion for weather clearly developed, Mike decided to pursue a degree in meteorology at Cornell University. While there, he also worked at the local college station, IC-TV.
Mike has also interned at WCBS-TV in New York City where he worked closely with the CBS Weather Team in improving his forecasting and on-air performance. After college, he went on to work at WSYR-TV in Syracuse, where he continued to learn a great deal from the NewsChannel9 Storm Team. It was there he also forecasted through a record breaking winter that, among other things, saw 96 straight hours of snow and nearly 15' of accumulation for the season.
Mike's hobbies include playing golf in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and hanging out with his friends all year round.
He has now moved down the Thruway to NEWS CENTER and looks forward to providing his knowledge in forecasting to the continued success of the best weather team in the Capital Region.
