
GREENWICH, NY (WTEN) - Two people were killed in a car accident caused by speeding in Greenwich Saturday night.
Police in Washington County say it happened on County Route 52 around 6:30 P.M.
The driver, 23-year-old Daniel Tifft, of Argyle, and the passenger, 19-year-old Megan Archer, of Fort Edward, died at the scene.
Another passenger, 18-year-old Richard Borden was taken to Albany Medical Hospital tonight, his condition is unknown.
Police say Tifft was going too fast around a curve when he lost control of the vehicle crossing the center line and slamming into a tree. All three were thrown out of the car.
Police are still waiting on toxicology reports.
