SCOTIA, N.Y. - A taste of Hollywood is coming to Schenectady County.
Hollywood Actors Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes and Bradley Cooper are in the area filming for "The Place Beyond the Pines" for the summer.
Gosling was busy shooting scenes on Wednesday in Colonie, along Morris Road, NEWS10 catching some shots of the actor. Movie crews started work at 5:00 a.m. at this location, and are planning on working throughout the day until 9:00 p.m. They even paid to park their trailers in the Stanford Heights Fire Department parking lot.
Costume people, stunt doubles, extras, and set crews all got set up Wednesday morning on the corner of Morris Road and Curry Road.
The rest of the shooting schedule has been kept top-secret; however some people have spotted the stars around town.
Gosling has been spotted at Bombers' in Schenectady, and also at a diner in Scotia earlier this week.
Shooting is supposed to take place at the First National Bank of Scotia, as well. Filming was supposed to start Wednesday at the bank, but has now been delayed due to the weather.
Their website alerts customers the bank is "being used for filming and that it will be closed for one day in the upcoming weeks."
Mohawk Avenue in Scotia is set to soon be transformed into a bustling movie set, which will need to be manned by ten Scotia police officers. Chief Thomas Rush of the Scotia Police Department says he "is happy for Scotia's recognition, but it will be taxing on his department."
The Scotia police force is only made up of thirteen officers, but Chief Rush says "the job will get done."
