AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - Amsterdam police are searching for the man who robbed Kings Food and Fuel in Amsterdam Wednesday night.
Police received a call from witnesses saying a robbery was occurring at the Kings Food and Fuel located at 72 Guy Park Ave. in Amsterdam.
They told police the robber demanded money from from the clerk, then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash, and was seen entering a gray minivan that was parked on Wall St.
Officials showed up to the scene and conducted an extensive search for the minivan.
Witnesses described the suspect as a male, medium build and average height.
The police department is asking anyone with information or who may have been in the area at the time of the robbery to contact the Amsterdam Police Dept. at 518-842-1100, callers may remain anonymous.
