AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - Police in Amsterdam arrested a teen on Tuesday morning for punching a child in the face.
18-year-old Richard Perez, of 4 Jay Street in Amsterdam, was arrested Tuesday morning on an arrest warrant stemming from a domestic incident on April 28th where Perez got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend and also punched a 12-year-old in the face.
Perez also threatened his girlfriend with a knife and broke her cell phone.
The 12-year-old child was treated for minor injuries at St. Mary's Hospital.
Perez is being charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor, Criminal Mischief 4th, a misdemeanor, Menacing 2nd, a misdemeanor, and 2 counts of Harassment 2nd, violations.
