Fire breaks out in Amsterdam home where children were left alone

AMSTERDAM, N.Y.-- A fire broke out at a home in Amsterdam this Sunday morning, where three children were home alone.

The blaze began around 10:30AM on the back porch at 114 Henrietta Boulevard.

The three children, ages 18, 12, and 9, were home without their mother and their names have not yet been released. However, the 18 year old was in charge and no was hurt.

According to fire officials, the fire was accidental and they believe electrical in nature.
