FULTONVILLE, N.Y. - A Montgomery County man is arrested on child pornography charges after police found pictures of young girls on his camera's memory card.
50-year-old Michael Shirley, of 74 Main Street in Fultonville, was arrested Wednesday, being charged with Promotion of a Sexual Performance by a Child, Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child, Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Arrording to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, police found numerous pictures of two young girls, under the age of 10, on Shirley's camera. Police had been contacted with a complaint about Shirley's behavior, which led to the investigation where the memory card was seized as evidence.
Shirley has been remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $7,500 cash bail.
Police say there may be more victims who have been in contact with Shirley, so anyone with more information is asked to call Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 518-853-5500.
