
FORT PLAIN, N.Y. - A Montgomery County woman is now $1 million richer thanks to a New York Lottery intstant game prize check she received on Thursday.
60-year-old Lorraine Larbell, of Canajoharie, was presented with her winning check on 10:30 a.m. at the Fort Plain News & Variety on Main Street in Fort Plain, where she originally purchased the winning ticket, a Sterling Silver, on Sunday, January 30th.
Larbell is a retiree, mother of one, who says she is an occasional Lottery player. She says the first thing she is planning on doing with the money is buying her daughter a new laptop.
