So where do the animals featured each week on Pet Connection come from? Steve will feature a pet from one of nine local shelters each month.

Their schedules are as follows:

1st Monday of the month: Animal Protective Foundation
1st Thursday of the month: Montgomery County SPCA

2nd Monday of the month: Berkshire Humane Society
2nd Thursday of the month: Companion Animal Placement Program

3rd Monday of the month: Columbia Greene Humane Society
3rd Thursday of the month: Greyhounds As Companions

4th Monday of the month: Saratoga County Shelter
4th Thursday of the month: Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society

5th Monday or Thursday of the month: 2nd Chance Animal Center
