NY AG announces arrest of 14 people accused of distributing drugs in the Capital Region

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - The New York Attorney General's Office Organized Crime Task Force announced the arrest of 14 people accused of distributing drugs throughout the Capital Region.

Officials say an 84-count indictment charged the individuals with various felonies including criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree conspiracy in relation to alleged involvement in the narcotics trafficking network.

The following individuals were arrested in the sting:

  • Quinton Adams, 47, of Bronx, N.Y.
  • Quentin Bellinger, 58, of Bronx, N.Y.
  • Paul Greaves, 35, of Albany, N.Y.
  • Laquan Hart, 32, of Schenectady, N.Y.
  • Jevon Henry, 36, of Schenectady, N.Y.
  • James Johnson, 55, of Latham, N.Y.
  • Julio Lewis, 27, of Schenectady, N.Y.
  • Aisha Murray, 32, of Schenectady, N.Y.
  • Hardley Pierre, 28, of Schenectady, N.Y.
  • Raydell Robinson, 37, of Schenectady, N.Y.

  • Lamar Ventura, 38, Schenectady, N.Y.
  • Stacey Watson, 45, Schenectady, N.Y.
  • Jermaine White, 29, Albany, N.Y.

“As we allege, this trafficking ring flooded the Capital Region with cocaine – fueling the cycle of addiction that has been ravaging communities across New York,” said Attorney General Schneiderman. “Through our continued collaboration with our partners in law enforcement, our SURGE Initiative is working to cut off the supply of drugs into our communities and drive traffickers out of business.”

If convicted, the defendants will face between three years and life in prison, depending on the individual case.

The charges stem from a nine-month joint investigation by the Attorney General's Office, New York State Police, Saratoga Springs Police Department, assistance of the Schenectady County Sheriff's Office, New York National Guard Counterdrug Task Force, and the United States Marshals Service.
