Former Shaker HS teacher charged with inappropriate conduct sent to hospital after being found in Mohawk River

Web Staff - SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A former Shaker High School was sent to the hospital after being found in the Mohawk River.

Police say Dan Weaver went missing after his court appearance on Wednesday. According to police, he was later spotted in the Mohawk River near a boat launch and was pulled to shore by Saratoga County deputies.

He was taken to Samaritan Hospital for a psychological evaluation.

Weaver worked at Shaker High School for nearly 20 years and concerns involving him and a student began at the end of September.

He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly sending gifts and requesting suggestive photos from the victim.
