Bethlehem police investigating multiple reports of theft from parked vehicles

Web Staff - DELMAR, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Bethlehem Police Department is investigating multiple reports of thefts from parked vehicles at the Delmar YMCA.

Police say the incidents happened Sunday morning. In most of the cases, the suspect(s) broke the windows of the vehicle to enter and steal items of value that were in plain sight.

Bethlehem police advise the public to make sure your vehicle is always locked, valuable items are kept out of sight or locked away in compartments, and be alert of your surroundings at all time. These steps can prevent similar crimes from happening.

They also ask anyone who was at the YMCA Sunday morning, or who may have information, to contact the police at 518-439-9973.
