NEWS10's Andy Gregorio

Andy joined NEWS10 in July of 1997, and now works as the meteorologist for NEWS10 on the weekends. You will also catch him during NEWS10 from 4pm-6:30pm working side-by-side with Steve Caporizzo.

Andy's first TV experience was at WNCE-TV (Channel 8) in Glens Falls, NY from 1987 through 1990. Andy has the prestigious Seal of Approval for Television Broadcasting from the American Meteorological Society. Prior to going into TV, Andy worked as a weather consultant for nearly 20 years. Much of this was as a marine meteorologist providing weather forecasts and information for maritime interests and hurricane forecasting.

A New York City native (from Da' Bronx!), Andy's interest in meteorology started at a very early age, thanks to a hurricane. The hurricane ("DONNA" 1960) moved across New York City in September of that year causing the cancellation of Andy's first day of kindergarten. By the time he was 9 years old he was tracking hurricanes and keeping track of the local weather in his Bronx neighborhood, too.

His hobbies and interests include fishing, painting, skating, biking, cooking, golfing (i.e., his handicap IS golf) and playing ice hockey (okay, he mostly JUST watches these days!) Andy also enjoys speaking engagements with area schools and community organizations. He is also a computer nerd who likes to tinker with his home computer and web page!

You can follow him on Facebook and on Twitter. If you would like to contact Andy, please e-mail him at:
