Empire Racing wants to control the future of thoroughbred racing in New York State.
This morning, the CEO of the organization was in Saratoga Springs to talk about how he plans to manage the state's three race tracks.
Empire Racing is in the running with several groups, including Excelsior - which is the top choice of a powerful state committee, to take control of the Belmont, Aqueduct and Saratoga tracks.
The courses are currently run by the New York Racing Association, who has had financial problems, filing for bankruptcy earlier this month.
The Legislature and governor have final say on who will run the tracks next year.
