(posted: February 12th, 3:24pm) A car slams into a pole in Clifton Park, which sends one women to the hospital by helicopter.
It happened just after 5 a.m. on Ashdown Road, about half a mile south of route 146A. The accident closed off a stretch of Ashdown for several hours.
The front end of the car was demolished in the crash. The female passenger had to be taken out of the vehicle by the jaws of life.
The women is currently at Albany Medical Center with serious injuries but nothing life threatening. The male driver is being questioned by State Police, but they say he hasn't been charged with anything.
