Christine O'Donnell joined NEWS CENTER in July of 2011 as a reporter and multi-media journalist.
Christine was born and raised in Saratoga Springs and she's glad to be back home in the Capital Region.
Before moving to Albany, she worked as a reporter and multimedia journalist at WAGT in Augusta, Georgia. Yes, all you golf lovers, she's been to the Masters and has great respect for the sport.
In Augusta, she developed a passion for both shooting video as well as reporting. One of her most memorable stories was about an elderly gentleman and known "hoarder." His home became so bad the city had to tear it down. Christine sat with him while he watched. That's when he told her he had a use for all the stuff, and did not have a problem with hoarding.
Christine worked at KARE 11, news in Minnesota as an assistant reporter in the state Capitol. There she interviewed presidential candidate Michelle Bachman and former candidate Governor Tim Pawlenty.
Christine attended the University of Minnesota and has a degree in both Journalism and Spanish.
She was recruited to the school as a Division-1 athlete for their rowing team. One of her proudest moments was winning an NCAA National Championship with her boat in 2007.
