Police raid Schenectady home related to shooting of 15-year-old, no charges made
SWAT teams raid 811 Bridge St.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Residents of 811 Bridge St. woke up to an early morning raid by Schenectady police regarding the homocide during a party at 730 Bridge St. on Sunday morning, however the person they took into custody was let go.
About two dozen Schenectady police assisted the State Police SWAT team in raiding 811 Bridge St. around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning regarding the shooting and killing of 15-year-old Eddie Stanley.
The person police took into custody was questioned and released with no charged. Police say it was not the man they were looking for.
Stanley was shot 5 times in the chest and found dead when police responded to a report of a fight at a party at 730 Bridge St. around 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Neighbors say the fight occurred during a party located at 730 Bridge St. in Schenectady where Stanley was working as a disc jockey. Stanley was a sophomore at Schenectady High School, where he was considered a rising star on the varsity basketball team.
