ALBANY, N.Y.-- News 10 learned new information on Thursday, that relates to the New York's Financial Plan for the 2011-2012 budget.
The division of the budget said the adopted budget eliminated a $10 billion budget gap without raising taxes or increasing borrowing.
The plan reflects savings achieved through several measures to redesign and right-size New York's government. They include:
- State operation reductions
- Realigning school aid
- Redesigning Medicaid
