Mega Millions reaches $312 million

NEW YORK - Friday night's Mega Millions drawing could make someone $312 million richer.

Friday night's jackpot is one of the five largest for the nation-wide lottery. The jackpot is up to $312 million, from the $304 million it was originally thought to be. The lottery credits strong ticket sales for the $8 million jump.

The Capital Region has seen its fair share of multi-million dollar winners in the last few months, winning a total of $170 million.

The Mega Millions drawing is at 11:00 p.m.
