SCHENECTADY, N.Y.-- Registered nurses at Ellis Medicine started a petition drive Saturday afternoon at St. James Square to prove to hospital management that the public supports their efforts.
The RNs have fully stood by the hospital throughout the years and think that hospital management should reflect this relationship by showing the same assurance towards the quality patient care by upholding a steady RN workforce.
The group wants to make sure that Ellis keeps attracting the best RNs in the area and claimed that in order for this to happen, Ellis management must treat their nurses with respect.
Other factors the RNs are concerned with are wages, ability to use sick time, and affordable health insurance.
