TROY, N.Y. – Two people have been arrested in Troy after an early morning raid Tuesday at a Douw Street apartment.
The raid, a coordinated effort between the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team, CNET – Capital, Troy Police Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, was the culmination of a 3 month investigation into drug sales at the residence.
Authorities arrested Jonathan Collazo, 26, and Grisell Rentas, 32, both residents of the apartment. Along with taking them into custody, police also found 2 ounces of cocaine packed for sale, scales, and a substantial amount cash.
Collazo and Rentas have been charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. More charges are pending.
Authorities used a police helicopter to help conduct the raid, which had been noticed by many Troy residents.
